All climbers must sign the county waiver before accessing Ashley Gorge. This is separate from the GearDash rental waiver.

No Cell Service at the Trailhead
Complete your GearDash booking and save your locker code before leaving Orem. You will not have signal at Ashley Gorge.
What to Wear
- Closed-toe shoes — Required — sandals and flip flops are not safe on iron rungs.
- Gloves — Recommended — cables and rungs are rough on your hands. Light work or climbing gloves work well.
- Comfortable athletic clothing — You'll be climbing, crouching, and moving through tight sections.
- Sun protection — Hat, sunscreen — the gorge has exposed sections with no shade.
What to Bring
- Lots of water — At least 2 liters per person. There is no water source at the gorge.
- Snacks — The route takes 2–4 hours depending on pace.
- Your locker code — Saved from your GearDash booking confirmation email.
- A small daypack — To carry water, snacks, and extra layers.
- Emergency contact info — Let someone know where you're going and when to expect you back.

- Via ferrata lanyard — Singing Rock Phario Palm — UIAA certified with energy absorber.
- Climbing harness — Singing Rock Top — sized and adjusted at the kiosk.
- Helmet — Black Diamond Half Dome — available in S/M and M/L.
